Mangaluru: Namaz on public street – Police register suo motu case

Mangaluru: Police have registered a case following a video showing people offering namaz on a public street went viral on social media.

In a press release on May 28, the Mangaluru City Police Commissioner said that a suo motu case has been registered against those involved in the incident.

A video showing people offering prayers on a public road in front of a mosque in Kankanady on May 24 has gone viral on social media, sparking widespread discussion.

Upon investigation, the police commissioner said that a suo motu case has been registered at teh Mangaluru East Police station against unidentified individuals who obstructed public movement and smooth vehicular traffic.
