Mangaluru Dasara: Navaratri celebrations begin at Kudroli Shri Gokarnanath Temple

The much-loved Navaratri festival has begun at the Kudroli Shri Gokarnanath Temple in Mangaluru on Thursday, October 3.

The festival was inaugurated by former Union Minister and the visionary behind the development of the Kudroli Temple, B. Janardhan Poojary.

One of the major attractions of Mangaluru Dasara, the idol of Goddess Sharada, was taken in a procession around the temple premises and installed in the Darbar Hall. Idols of Lord Mahaganapati and the Navadurga goddesses were also consecrated during the event.

Special poojas and elaborate decorations will continue until October 13. The Kudroli temple, adorned with stunning decorations, along with the city of Mangaluru, illuminated with vibrant lights, is a sight to behold.
