Mangaluru: Necessary arrangements will be made to feed poor: MLA Bharath Shetty

Mangaluru: Dr MLA Bharath Shetty stated on Thursday, April 9 that the poor people will not stay hungry and the government will take all the necessary steps to provide them with essential supplies.

Speaking to the reporters he said, “We have distributed around 12,500 food kits and 10,000 kits are arranged. The kit contains rice, wheat, sugar, pulse, oil, groundnut and soap. In 245 booth level, food items worth Rs 50 lac is given to the poor in the first phase. We have also distributed 15,000 masks”

“We are also taking other initiatives such as distribution of pamphlets to create awareness regarding the pandemic,” he added.

The distribition was held st BJP office at Kavoor and MCC members Jayananda Anchan, Vittal Salian, Lohith Amin, Rajesh Kottari, Sandeep Pacchanad and North BJP president Tilak Raj Krishnapura, were also present.
