Mangaluru: New campus of Trisha Degree College inaugurated

Mangaluru: The new campus building of Trisha Degree College, located near Ganesh Bagh Layout in the vicinity of Podar International School, Kottara Bangrakulur, was inaugurated on Friday, October 4.

The new building was inaugurated by Sri Eesha Vittaldasa Swamiji of Kemaru Sandeepani Sadhanashrama. In his blessing, the Swamiji shared that stepping into the college campus brought a sense of joy. He highlighted that naming classrooms after great freedom fighters and spiritual leaders is a sign of continued heritage and spirituality, which reflects the institution’s educational excellence. He emphasized the importance of creating humanity through education and said that social outcomes are more crucial than mere academic achievements.

Education That Strengthens the Nation: U.T. Khader

U.T. Khader, Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, attended as the chief guest. In his address, he said, “A nation becomes strong when its students are strong.” He praised Trisha College for providing education that helps build the nation and stressed the importance of personal development along with academics. He encouraged students to imbibe qualities like humanity and compassion to succeed in life.

Leadership Qualities Alongside Education

CA Gopalakrishna Bhat, founder of Trisha Group of Institutions, presided over the event. He mentioned that the new Mangaluru campus will contribute to the all-round development of students. The institution prioritizes leadership qualities alongside value-based education, focusing on producing future citizens who respect culture and tradition.

Trisha’s New Milestone

The newly relocated campus of Trisha Degree College now stands on 1.2 acres of land in Ganesh Bagh Layout, providing a conducive atmosphere for student development. The campus offers modern facilities, a student-friendly environment, and a dedicated teaching staff. It also has hostel accommodations. The institution plans to introduce Pre-University courses in Science and Commerce streams from the next academic year, along with certificate courses in Computer Science.

Dignitaries present at the event included MP Capt. Brijesh Chowta, MLAs Dr. Bharath Shetty Y. and D. Vedavyas Kamath, Govind Jagannath Shenoy, Deeksha Group Founder Don Sridhar G., ICAI SIRC Mangaluru Chairman Gautam Pai D., K2 Learning Founder Sripal Jain, and several others.

Prof. Sahana Shetty gave a presentation on the institution’s journey. The program concluded with a welcome speech by Prof. Suprabha M., Principal of Evening College.
