Mangaluru: One arrested for trafficking MDMA

Mangaluru: CCB police have arrested a man on charges of drug trafficking.
The accused has been identified as Abdulla C (39) of Cherkala in Kasaragod.
Police said that the accused was trafficking the illegal narcotic drug MDMA (Methylene dioxy methamphetamine) in a car to Mangaluru from Bengaluru.
A team of CCB police led by ACP P A Hegde confiscated 150 grams of MDMA from the accused, besides the car used and a mobile phone. The value of seized goods is estimated to be around Rs 17.61 lakhs.
A case has been registered in the Mangaluru Rural police station in this regard.
The accused has cases pending against him related to drug trafficking at various police stations s including at Vishakhapatnam and Kasaragod, police added.
