Mangaluru: One injured in serial accident at KPT

Mangaluru: One person was seriously injured in a serial accident near KPT Junction in the city at around 7 pm on Sunday. Traffic on the national highway was disrupted for a while due to the accident.

The chain of events began when a pickup vehicle used for fish transport crashed into a car that was taking a U-turn at the junction. A milk transport van that was behind it collided with the pickup.

The driver of the milk van was stuck in the wreckage and was pulled out after much struggle. The milk van and the pickup had to be separated using a crane.

All three vehicles involved in the accident suffered damages.

East Traffic Police Station personnel who were at the scene took over the operation.
