Bantwal: One injured, property reduced to ashes in gas cylinder blast

Bantwal: A gas cylinder exploded while a worker was dismantling it at a scrap dealer’s shop at Ammemar in Farangipete here on Saturday evening.
The worker sustained burn injuries due to the explosion. The injured has been identified as Abdul Razak of Karaje in Bantwal. He had brought the cylinder to the scrap shop for recycling, on an autorickshaw.
The autorickshaw was also completely gutted in the fire that broke out after the explosion.
Firefighters from the Bantwal Fire station were called in and later extinguished the fire.
Bantwal Rural police inspected the spot and are carrying out further investigations.
