Mangaluru: A pedestrian was killed after being knocked down by a lorry while crossing the road at Kuloor Junciton on Monday.
Due to the impact, the person died on the spot.
Meanwhile, Mangaluru North Traffic Police have registered a case against the lorry driver. Efforts are underway to ascertain the identity of the deceased.
Lack of zebra crossings at the busy junction on the National Highway as well as the rush at the junction due to the commercial establishments in the area are being blamed fo rhte frequent accidents at the spot.
