Mangaluru: Police arrest 4 smuggling 200 kgs marijuana

Ullal: The police here arrested four young men smuggling 200 kilograms of marijuana in a fish-hauling truck on Wednesday.
The four have been identified as Mohammed Farooq (24), Sayyed Mohammed (31), Mohammed Ansar (23) and Mohiudeen Nawaz (34). All four are residents of Kerala and Karnataka.
The truck was reportedly coming from Andhra Pradesh. The four were following the truck in a car.
After receiving a tip-off of marijuana being transported to Kerala via Mangaluru, police officials immediately sent a team to intercept the truck. On stopping and searching it the marijuana was found.
It was also reported that the four smugglers distributed some of the marijuana at many places en route to Mangaluru.
Along with the marijuana, 3 swords, 1 knife, 4 mobile phones and 1 wi-fi set were also recovered and seized from the smugglers.
