Mangaluru: Police arrest five drug peddlers, seize 3kg of marijuana in two separate cases

Mangaluru: Police officials arrested three persons in connection with the drug peddling case at Oorumane cross in Manjanady village and recovered 1.340 kg ganja worth about Rs 13,400.
The arrested accused have been identified as Mohammed Haneef alias Google Haneef from Gerukatte, Vorkady, Habib (32), a resident of Talapady village and Naseeb (19) from Miyapadavu, Manjeshwar village.
The motorbike worth Rs 25,000 along with ganja was confiscated.
In another incident, based on a tip-off, a team of police on Wednesday raided a car at Narla Padil Ramanagara in Talapady village and arrested two persons.
The arrested accused have been identified as Praful Raj (23) from Meenja village, Hosangady, Manjeshwar, and Avinash (24) from Ambithadi House,Boliyar, Sajipa village in Bantwal taluk.
Police also seized items worth Rs 5,50,400 including 2.220 kg ganja, Rs 1,200 in cash, two mobile phones and a Maruti Swift.
