At least 10 PFI leaders placed under preventive detention in Dakshina Kannada

Mangaluru: Police placed several leaders of the Popular Front of India (PFI) under preventive detention on Tuesday, September 27.

As per sources, more than 10 PFI leaders have been detained from across Dakshina Kannada district.

Mangaluru Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar said that the actions were initiated as a precautionary measure to prevent any untoward incidents.

They have been booked under sections 107 and 151 of CrPC, he added.
