Mangaluru: Just like the lovable, adorable, fiercely loyal canine in Rakshit Shetty-starrer Kannada movie “777 Charlie,” the police dog squad in the city has a Charlie of its own.

The newly added puppy has been named ‘Charlie’ in honour of the canine star of the movie ‘777 Charlie’. This new entrant into the police force is also a Labrador.

Police personnel held a naming ceremony for the puppy on Friday. The dog handlers had got a special cake made for the celebrations.

After intense training, Charlie will join the canine squad as one of its working dogs.

By the way, Kiranraj’s debut directorial ‘777 Charlie’, which showcases endearing human-animal bonding, is raking up high praises from cine-goers and dog lovers alike.
