Mangaluru: Private city bus operators decide to not to run services during weekend curfew

Mangaluru: Private city bus owners of the city have decided not to run the buses during the weekend curfew in the district.

On Thursday, July 1, Deputy commissioner Dr Rajendra K V however, had announced that buses are allowed to ply during weekend curfew. But, the association has decided not to run services on July 3 and 4.

However, KSRTC buses will  be in operation throughout the district during weekend curfew.

Private city and service buses resumed operations in Dakshina Kannada and neighbouring districts on Thursday, July 1 with 50% seating capacity and a 20 per cent hike in fares.
