Mangaluru: Private city, service buses resume operations in the city

Mangaluru: Private city and service buses resume operations in Dakshina Kannada and neighbouring districts on Thursday, July 1 with 50% seating capacity and a 20 per cent hike in fares.
A limited number of buses are currently plying on the road and also saw the lowest number of passengers. Police personnel have been deployed at bus stations.
Officials urged passengers to follow social distance norms, wear masks and other Covid guidelines.
On the other hand, the fare between Mangaluru and Manipal has reached Rs 100, while that between Mangaluru and Udupi has touched Rs 95 on express service buses.
