Mangaluru: Prostitution racket busted; 3 arrested, 4 women rescued

Mangaluru: A prostitution racket being conducted at an apartment in Nandigudde, Attavar was busted by the city police on Thursday.
Police officials have arrested 3 accused in connection with the case and 4 women including two minor girls were rescued.
The operation was conducted after receiving credible information of the activity being operated at the apartment. It is said that the minor girls were being forced into prostitution by the accused.
The victims claimed that the accused had installed CCTV cameras in the apartment rooms and were threatening to leak their videos.
They approached their college principal for help and later a complaint was filed by Women and Child welfare department against the accused.
Further investigations are underway.
