Mangaluru: Prostitution racket busted in Kavoor; two held

Mangaluru: Based on reliable information, a team of police officials busted a prostitution racket operating out of a rented house in Kavoor on Friday.
Police officials have arrested two persons in connection with the case and also rescued a woman from the racket. The accused have been identified as Sana Ramlat(46), a resident of Krishnapur and Abdul Hafeez (55), a resident of Uliyaargoli, Udupi. A girl was rescued by the
It is said that the accused trafficked girls from Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru and Udupi and forced them into sexual slavery.
Officials have also seized items worth Rs 3,25,560 including Rs 10,060 cash, 3 mobile phones and a car from the accused.
A case has been registered.
