Mangaluru: A protest was held in KC Road here by the members of the ‘Justice for Akeef Citizens Committee’ on April 12 against alleged destruction of evidence in the murder of 12-year-old Akeef.

Akeef was allegedly killed by his friend when a PUBG video game they were playing went awry.

Speaking at the event the organisers of the protest alleged that the police were trying to move some items from the house of the murder accused along with his parents.

They further alleged that the police are probing the case in a discriminatory manner and they will fight until Akeef gets justice.

They threatened to hold a protest outside the Ullal police station if the alleged partisan attitude of the police continues.

Family members of Akeef were also present during the protest.

Some shops and vendors had closed their businesses in support of the protest.
