Mangaluru: Opened 10 years after starting construction, the Pumpwell flyover here, has cracks appearing at many places over it.

Mangaluru, Pumwell flyover, Cracks

Unseasonal rains lashed the city on Saturday, April 25 after which the cracks started to appear. Water had also collected at both ends of the flyover which was later removed by the authorities.

It is being alleged that this is a result of shoddy work done in the race to finish construction before the January 31 deadline.

There is no vehicular traffic presently moving over the flyover due to the lockdown supposedly not exacerbating the flyover’s condition.
