Mangaluru: Pvt hosp to treat COVID-19 cases; 29 in DK, 21 in Udupi

Mangaluru/Udupi: The State government has allowed private hospitals to treat COVID-19 patients and has identified 29 hospitals in Dakshina Kannada district and 21 hospitals in Udupi district to take in these patients.

As per the standards of Ayushmann Aarogya Karnataka Card, the total cost of treatment for BPL ration cardholders and 30% of the total treatment cost of APL ration cardholders will be funded by the Suvarna Karnataka Aarogya Trust.

District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr Ramachandra Bayri has stated that the government has released the list of hospitals. The Department will be discussing the treatment process with them. The hospitals must submit a patient’s information with the Department on admission. The Department will take further steps to collect the details of the patient’s primary and secondary contacts and take further action.
