Mangaluru: Rajaji Park, underpass for pedestrians inagurated

Mangaluru: Rajaji park and an underpass for pedestrians near the Town Hall in the city was inaugurated on Sunday, October 2 by District in-charge minister Sunil Kumar.
The underpass was built to help the people to cross over to the other side of the road near Town Hall as hundreds of vehicles use this road, and people find iy it hard to cross.
The underpass built uner the smart city project is 365 metres long and 11.5 metres wide. People who would want to go to the central railway station, mini Vidhana Soudha, tahsildar’s office, Lady Goschen, Market etc will benefit from the underpass.
Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath, Mayor Jayanand Anchan, Deputy Mayor Poornima, former mayor Premananda Shetty, Divakar Pandeshwar, standing committee president Shakeela Kava, Kishore Kottari, Nayana Kotian, Hemalatha Raghu Salian, Additional deputy Commissioner Krishna Murthy, MCC commissioner Akshay Shridhar, Police Commissioner N Shashikumar, DCP law and order Anshu Kumar, ACP P A Hegde, Managing director Smart City Prashanth Kumar Mishra and others were present.
