Mangaluru: Retired Colonel Ratna Kumar Adapa passes away at 61

Mangaluru: Retired Colonel Ratna Kumar Adapa (61), a native of Somwarpet and a distinguished officer of the Indian Army’s Para Regiment, passed away on October 12 in Bengaluru after a brief illness.

Colonel Adapa, who had served in the Indian Army for 35 years, retired in 2021.

He is survived by his wife, Shanthala Adapa, and his son,  Mohit Sharan Adapa.

The final rites will be conducted tomorrow, October 13, at 10 AM at their residence “Arpana” in Padavu Megina Mane. Following the rituals, the cremation will take place at Shaktinagar crematorium, according to family sources.
