Mangaluru: Rise in theft cases; Police officials conduct MOB parade

Mangaluru: As Dakshina Kannada has been witnessing a substantial rise in theft cases, police officials on Thursday July 15, held MOB parade at various police stations.
Around 252 people who were taken into custody for various kinds of theft and smuggling cases were questioned and useful details were collected.
Police commissioner N Shashi Kumar said, ” Around 179 mobile phones and 67 vehicles have been recovered from the 272 accused. Also, cases under section 110 CRPC are registered against 120, under section 107 CRPC against 97 and under section 27(B) NDPS against 35 of them. Further investigations are underway.”
