Mangaluru: Scooter crashes while avoiding hitting stray dog; rider dead

Mangaluru: A scooter rider was killed after he fell onto the road after losing balance at Yeyyadi Sharbat Katte in the city on Friday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Narasimha Gatty (67), a resident of Maroli Bajjodi.
The accident reportedly occurred when a stray dog suddenly tried to cross the road. In a bid to avoid hitting the dog, Gatty lost balance of the scooter and fell onto the road and his head crashed into the road divider. He breathed his last while being rushed to a hospital.
Narasimha Gatty was a businessman and ran a dealership of company. He is survived by his wife and two sons.
