Mangaluru: Scooter rider smashes KSRTC bus window with helmet, flees

Mangaluru: A scooter rider reportedly smashed a KSRTC bus window near Alape, close to Padil, using his helmet and fled the scene on Sunday night.

The incident occurred when the bus was en route from Mangaluru to Bengaluru. The scooter rider allegedly blocked the bus near Alape, prompting the driver to question his actions.

Enraged, the rider used his helmet to break the bus’s side window and windshield. Bus driver, Arun, sustained injuries during the attack.

The Kankanady police have registered a case against the rider under charges of obstructing a government employee on duty and causing damage to public property. Investigations are underway.
