Mangaluru: In a series of three tweets, Minister for Health and Family Welfare B Sriramulu has commended ASHA workers staking their lives for their service.
He has specially mentioned ASHA workers at Belthangady taluk in his tweet.
In the tweets, Sriramulu states: “It is indeed commendable that ASHA workers and medical staff are going to every village during this time of distress caused by the coronavirus.
More than 40 families living in the Koraga colony in Belthangady Taluk, a Naxal-prone area, have been showing symptoms of dengue. ASHA workers and health workers, amidst the torrential rain, crossed a dangerously flowing river to reach them and provided necessary treatment to them.
The dedication and selflessness to their service is truly admirable.”
