Mangaluru: The second edition of the five-day Mangaluru Street Food Fiesta organized by the Kudla Samskritika Prathishtana under the guidance of MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and MLA D. Vedavyas Kamath, commenced on Wednesday.
Assembly Speaker U.T. Khader inaugurated the event, highlighting the opportunity for the public to relish a diverse array of foods. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and MLA D. Vedavyas Kamath welcomed the attendees. Kamath noted the success of last year’s street food fiesta, which drew in four lakh visitors.
The Street Food Fiesta will run daily from 4 pm to 10.30 pm. Over 160 stalls offering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian delights have been set up. During the last three days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), the festival will extend its hours from 2 pm to 10.30 pm. The venue spans from the Coastal Product Exhibition Ground to Narayana Guru Circle, Mannagudda Gurji Circle, and Canara Urva.
Tulu Nadu dishes, along with vegetarian and non-vegetarian specialties from North Karnataka, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, and Punjab will be the highlight of the food fiesta. The event also showcases a variety of South Indian and North Indian cuisines. To enhance convenience, there is a focus on prioritizing digital payments, and all stalls are mandated to provide QR code scan facilities.
