Mangaluru: A youth died after accidentally falling off the 5th floor of an apartment building situated at Kadri Shivabhag on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Samay (21), a student at a medical college.
Samay was reportedly reading on the balcony when his mother, who was on the ground floor, asked him to come down for washing the car. Samay who was leaning from the balcony to talk to his mother, slipped and fell.
He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, but could not be saved.
It is said that the balcony floor was wet from rainwater causing it to slip.
Samay is the elder child of his parents.
A case has been registered at Kadri police station.
