Mangaluru: At least 30 students fell ill due to suspected food poisoning at a hostel of a private college located near Valachhil in Mangaluru.
The onset of symptoms, including vomiting, led to the hospitalization of several students on Wednesday night. However, most of them have since been discharged after receiving treatment.
Health department officials promptly visited the hostel to conduct thorough inspections and assessments to determine the cause of the food poisoning outbreak.
