Mangaluru: A teenage girl, who was under the care of the Childline care center here, reportedly went missing on Saturday, July 16.
The girl, identified as Inchara (15) of Delhi origin, ran away from the center in Shivabagh. She has been untraceable ever since, said a complaint filed at the Kadri police station.
According to reports, Inchara had reached Mangaluru in search of her elder brother a few days ago. She was found wandering at the railway station. As she could not communicate properly, the Railway Police handed her over to the Childline facility.
On Saturday, she jumped over the compound wall of the care facility when nobody was noticing and fled from the spot.
Kadri police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
