Mangaluru: Thieves break into flower shop, decamp with Rs 9 lakh cash

Mangaluru: Thieves broke into a flower shop on K S Rao Road, Mangaluru, and decamped with cash and goods late on Wednesday.
The shop is owned by Ummarabba, a resident of Kankanady.
It is said that Umarabba had kept Rs 9 lakh cash in his drawer in the shop and went home. The next day, his son Riaz noticed that the center lock of the shop was broken and the money in the drawer was also missing.
Umarabba claimed that every day he takes the cash with him but on Wednesday he kept it in the drawer as he had to pay the vendors.
The thieves have also stolen the CCTV camera and DVR worth Rs 10,000.
A case has been registered.
