Mangaluru: Three arrested for plotting robbery

Three notorious individuals who were plotting to rob wealthy individuals and businessmen in the Ullal Mukkacheri area of the city were arrested, the Mangaluru CCB police said on Sunday.
The arrested have been identified as Mohammad Sameer Ali @ Kadapara Sameer (33), and Mohammad Mansoor @ Boliyar Mansoor (30), both residents of Ullal Taluk, and Mohammad Naushad (30), a resident of Konaje.
CCB police said that they conducted a raid in Ullal Mukkacheri based on credible information, , where the suspects, armed with lethal weapons such as swords, were planning to carry out a robbery. The arrested individuals have a history of involvement in crimes such as murder, attempted murder, robbery, and drug trafficking.
During the operation, the police seized lethal weapons including a sword and a knife, three mobile phones, and a 4-wheeler. The total value of the seized items is estimated to be Rs. 25.90 lakhs .
A case has been registered against the suspects at Ullal Police Station.
CCB police said that several other individuals are suspected to be involved in the crime and the search is ongoing.
