Mangaluru: Three drug peddlers arrested; ganja, car worth over Rs 32 lakh seized

Mangaluru:  Police officials on January 31 intercepted a car in Nethilapadav based on specific information and confiscated ganja worth Rs 27 lakh that was being transported illegally.

The arrested accused have been identified as Aboobacker Siddik (35) and Hyder Ali (39) from Manjeshwar and Akhil M (25), from Kumble. A car also has been seized from the accused.

The total value of the confiscated goods is said to be Rs 32 lakh.

PSI Sharanappa Bhandary, staff Shailendra, Naveen, Vincent Rodrigues, Suresh, Barama Badigera, Hemanth, Purushotham, Devaraj, Shiva Kumar, Deepak, Sunita, Mohammed Ghouse, and Manoj from the technical department assisted Konaje station police inspector Prakash Devadiga with the operation.
