Mangaluru: Toll gate staff abuses married couple; held

Mangaluru: A personnel of the toll gate at Surathkal here has been arrested for allegedly abusing, attempting to assault a married couple.

Acting on the complaint filed by the victim the police arrested Yogesh,23, a resident of Tadambail under section 506, 504, 341 and 354 on Sunday.

On November 27, the couple was headed towards Mangaluru from Udupi in their car. When they reached the toll gate, they suddenly swerved the car towards the service road. Noticing that, the toll gate staff waylaid them and a verbal argument took place.

The complainant alleged that the personnel abused them and banged the window panes
