Mangaluru: The city police officials have arrested a transgender for snatching a man’s gold chain in Nanthoor.
The arrested accused has been identified as Abhishek alias Gombe alias Anamika (27), from Mysuru currently living in Bengaluru.
It is said that Abhishek waylaid Ganesh Shetty near the BSNL exchange, besides the national highway at Nanthoor. He then sprayed pepper spray on Shetty’s face and snatched his gold chain weighing 24 grams.
Police recovered 71 grams of gold and three other gold chains from him.
