Mangaluru: Two arrested for selling liquor illegally

Mangaluru: Two persons were arrested for illegally selling liquor near the KSRTC bus stand in the city.
Urva police arrested Chidananda (35) and Swami Gowda (56) while selling packaged liquor illegally.
The arrests were made during a police raid at a spot opposite the KSRTC Bus stand in Bejai at 6.30 am on Friday, based on a tip-off. As many as 128 tetra packs each containing 90ml of liquor and cash were seized.
A bar owner, identified as Balakrishna Poonja has also been booked under the Excise Act provisions for supplying liquor to the accused.
