Mangaluru: Two arrested with 132 kg processed ganja worth Rs 39 lakh

Mangaluru: Police officials have arrested two persons with 132 kg processed ganja worth Rs 39 lakh in Mangaluru.
The arrested accused have been identified as Rameez Raja from Bantwal and Abdul Haris Khader from Manjeshwar. Several cases including murder attempts, assault and drug peddling have been registered against the accused in Konaje, Ullal, Kasargod, Manjeshwar and Mangaluru north police stations.
Cops intercepted a car at Mudipu Kayargoli and found that the accused were transporting processed ganja for distribution in Kerala, Manipal, Dakshina Kannada and some parts of Uttar Kannada.
Police officials have recovered a car, mobile phones, and cash from the accused.
It is said that the accused earlier transported drugs from Vishakhapatnam in cars, trucks, and other vehicles.
Further investigations are underway.
