Mangaluru: Police arrested two individuals for their involvement in a ‘moral policing’ incident, which occurred in Kavoor police station limits.
The accused have been identified as Chetan (37) a resident of Kotekar and Naveen (43), a resident of Yeyyadi.
The duo had reportedly tried to assault a reporter of a private news website, who had been to a restaurant with his friend on July 28. The victim, identified as Abhijit, later reported the matter to the police.
The accused allegedly wanted to know if Abhijit was a Muslim and even tried to assault him, the complainant said.
