Mangaluru: Two persons drown while swimming in pond

Mangaluru: Two persons met a watery grave while swimming in a pond near Anje in Alape Padpu on Sunday.

The missing persons have been identified as Varun (26) and Veekshith (28).

It is learnt that a group of six people had gone for a swim in the water-filled pond. According to reports the pond is situated in a property belonging to the Indian railways.

The bodies of youths were later recovered. Further investigations into the circumstances surrounding their deaths are underway.
