Mangaluru: Police arrested two pushcart traders on the charge of misbehaving with children.
The arrested have been identified as Amar and Suraj.
A local informed police about the incident during a phone-in program held at the Police Commissioner’s office on Saturday. The traders allegedly followed and misbehaved with the children when they were walking in Attavar.
Police Commissioner Kuldeep Kumar Jain took the issue seriously and directed the accused to be taken into custody. Accordingly, the personnel from the Women’s police station arrested two persons and registered a case under the POCSO Act.
