Mangaluru: Two-wheeler thief apprehended by Bajpe Police

Police officials have arrested a notorious bike thief on Thursday, March 29.
The accused, Prahlad (30) hailing from Golibettumane, Kundapura, Udupi district, was taken into custody by the police. The arrest transpired during a routine vehicle check, where Prahlad failed to comply with instructions to stop his scooter. Upon interrogation, he confessed to stealing the scooter from Melkar, Bantwal.
Prahlad has a history of involvement in theft and bike theft cases, with previous records registered against him in police stations including Kundapur, Mangalore North, Kota, Brahmavara, and Udupi city. He had been evading the authorities by absconding without appearing in court.
Presently, Prahlad has been produced before the court to face charges related to his recent apprehension.
