Panambur/Malpe: The Christmas holidays and year-end celebrations have drawn large crowds to Panambur, Tannirbhavi, and Malpe beaches. The festive spirit is palpable as visitors throng these popular destinations.

At Panambur, families enjoyed activities like the floating bridge, boating, tonga rides, camel rides, and horse rides, capturing the moments in photos. Children engaged in kite flying, while young men and women revelled in water games.

Safety Measures

As the number of tourists increases, security personnel from the home guards and beach management teams ensured safety. Visitors were advised against swimming in deep waters and were redirected to safer areas.

Malpe Beach: Tourists from Bengaluru, Mysuru, and Hassan, along with hundreds of vehicles from neighboring states, are flocking to Malpe. School excursion buses have been arriving for over a month, and their numbers have grown further. The cheerful voices of children fill the air. Many are also visiting the St. Mary’s Island, adding to the festive vibe.

The influx of visitors has created parking challenges, and accommodation options are running full. Most hotels, lodges, and homestays are booked, with room rents doubling. Last-minute tourists are struggling to find places to stay.
