Mangaluru, Udupi: Schools and Pre-university colleges in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada district reopened after more than six months on January 1.

Schools in the districts were preparing themselves for their students since a week. Ground markings, sanitisers, and thermal scanners were newly bought by them to ensure adherence to the government’s COVID-19 guidelines.

Students of class 10 and second-year PUC were seen arriving at their schools along with those from classes 6 to 9 for the Vidyagama classes which will be conducted in the schools itself.

All were seen with masks on and enter the schools after being thermally scanned.

Education Minister S Suresh Kumar had informed earlier that the schedule for SSLC and PUC-II examinations will be issued soon.
