Mangaluru, Udupi: Third consecutive day of rains across parts of twin districts

Mangaluru, Udupi: Untimely rains continued for a third consecutive day especially in Belthangady taluk causing problems for agricultural activities.

Showers with lightning and thunderstorms for more than half an hour were reported on Tuesday evening in Arasinamakki, Shibaje, Shishila, Neriya, Dharmasthala, Maddadka, Gerukatte, Mundaje and Belthangady town.

Thundershowers were also reported in Bantwal, Navuru, Puttur, Uppinangady, Kalleri, Karaya, Kukke Subramanya, Noojibaltila, Ichlampadi, Kadya Konaje and Bisinele.

Siddapur in Udupi district also received rainfall with thunderstorms.

The wiring of a house at Bidumajali in Kombaru village in Kadaba taluk was completely burned after a lightning strike.
