Mangaluru: Mangaluru municipal commissioner Shanady Ajith Kumar Hegde has stated that all unmarked and unpainted speed-breakers in the city will be painted within ten days.
The commissioner’s statement is in response to the many road mishaps that have occurred on the city’s roads because the speed-breakers are not highlighted.
The unpainted speed-breakers are a serious life hazard during the night when they are mostly non-visible.
Shandy added that there must be at least two weeks gap after which a newly asphalted speed-breaker can be painted.
