Mangaluru: Valuables worth Rs 45 lakh found in MIA toilet

Customs officials unearthed a significant cache of valuables hidden within the drainage chamber of a restroom at Mangalore Airport’s departure area. The find included a staggering sum of Rs 45,44,600 in addition to a substantial amount of gold.

During routine inspections, customs officials made the astonishing find of 733 grams of gold, cleverly concealed in paste form within a discreet black pouch tucked away inside the drainage chamber.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the matter to ascertain the origins and intended recipients of the hidden valuables.
