Mangaluru: In a fervent call to action, newly appointed BJP State President B Y Vijayendra, on Wednesday, urging party workers to work for the re-election of former State President Nalin Kumar Kateel as MP has raised eyebrows.

Vijayendra gave the call during his address at the inauguration of the BJP Dakshina Kannada District Workers’ Convention in Mangaluru. He underscored the significance of the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, urging earnest consideration for the re-election of Nalin Kumar Kateel.

This call has set tongues wagging within political circles, speculating on the possibility of a change in the Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency candidate.

The three-time MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel, in response to Vijayendra’s public endorsement, hinted at his intention to contest again, reinforcing his commitment in an open forum.

Praising the steadfast support from the coastal region, Vijayendra expressed profound gratitude to the people for maintaining a stronghold for the Bharatiya Janata Party since its inception. He rallied for tireless dedication from all, emphasizing the goal to secure Narendra Modi’s continued leadership in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Modi’s vision and unwavering determination to position India as a global leader were hailed as paramount.
