Mangaluru: Residents of the Mogra village in the Dakshina Kannada district here built a pedestrian steel bridge through crowdfunding.
The bridge was built over a rivulet which was causing difficulties to the villagers to reach the nearest town.
“We have been asking the government for a bridge for so many years. Despite repeated requests, we did not get any sanction from the government. Finally, we decided to build it on our own,” said a local resident to ANI.
Along with the funds the villagers also laboured to build the bridge which took 3 days to build.
