Mangaluru: A group of students at a college in Mangaluru hung a photograph of V D Savarkar in the classroom without permission, inviting a new controversy.
The incident took place on the evening of Monday, June 6, but came to light two days later.
ASper sources, two students hung the photo frames with images of Bharat Mata and V D Savarkar on top of the blackboard of the classroom. Some students objected to this and complained about it to the college authorities.
On Tuesday morning, the principal reprimanded the students and took down both photographs. The college authorities have warned students not to display any photographs without authorization.
However, some students had shot a video of the whole incident and it is being widely circulated on social media.
