The World Konkani Centre is set to host the Vishwa Konkani Samaroh 2024 on November 5 and 6 in Shakthinagar, Mangaluru. This two-day cultural extravaganza will celebrate the Konkani language, honor literary accomplishments, and recognize contributions to community service and the arts.

The event will commence on November 5 at 9:30 a.m., with Dr. Dilip G. Naik, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Manipal Academy of Higher Education, inaugurating the proceedings. The ceremony will include the unveiling of a portrait of the late Pandari Bai, a beloved figure in the Kannada and Konkani film industries.

The day will further include the finals of the All India Konkani Poetry Reciting Competition, gathering participants from across the country to celebrate Konkani poetry.

Evening performances will showcase traditional Konkani folk art forms, including the Kudubi dance and traditional Holi dances, offering attendees a glimpse into Konkani’s rich cultural tapestry.
