In a shocking incident, Rajani Shetty, a well-known stray animal caretaker and rescuer, was assaulted by her neighbor, Manjula Shetty, earlier today.
The assault occurred when Manjula hurled a stone at Rajani, causing her injury. Rajani has announced her intention to file a formal complaint against Manjula in response to the attack.
For the past two years, Rajani has been engaged in an ongoing dispute with Manjula, who takes issue with her compassionate efforts to care for dogs in her residence. Manjula has also expressed grievances regarding Rajani’s use of corporation water. The situation escalated when Manjula threatened to poison all of Rajani’s dogs and even contemplate ending her own life. While Rajani has tolerated these conflicts in silence over the years, the recent stone-throwing incident has pushed her to take legal action against her neighbor.
Responding to the allegations, Rajani stated, “Manjula insists that I cease nurturing dogs in my rented house and vacate the premises. I have dedicated 22 years of my life to caring for stray dogs, and this has never been a problem before. I have not experienced any health issues from living alongside these animals. Unfortunately, Manjula finds a reason to fight with me on a daily basis.”
The entire incident was captured on CCTV, providing evidence of the assault.
Rajani Shetty, an animal lover, has gained widespread recognition for her selfless efforts in rescuing and nurturing animals. She diligently feeds approximately 400 to 500 dogs every day and provides care for numerous cats and birds within her residence.
